The staff was super friendly which made you feel welcome even if you’re alone and the room was really clean and comfy with a great shower to wash off the day’s stress
Sure it wasn’t cheap but it was still in line for what you get

Cozy spot with character!
This place is super chill! The vibe is awesome, and I loved my room – spacious with cozy linens. The staff was really friendly and made me feel at home. Only bummer was having to ask for ice instead of an icemaker. Can't wait to come back!

Loved the charming decor and upbeat vibe! The staff was super friendly and made everything feel so welcome.
But good luck finding parking without a treasure map! I felt like I had signed up for an impromptu workout hauling my bags.

I thoroughly enjoyed the mid-century decor and vibrant atmosphere of The Pearl Hotel. The staff were exceptionally attentive, ensuring that my stay was both comfortable and enjoyable. The charming pool area offered a lovely place to relax.
Noise from the bar made it hard to sleep.

First thing you notice, the vibe is just superb. The bed was so comfortable, you sink in and feel like a king. Plus, they have this really cool retro style and even a pet fish named Felix to keep you company! Second, the food? Wow! We had delectable charcuterie, and I swear the burger was the best I’ve had in a long time. Perfect after a long day, and the staff treated us like we were family.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive but it was worth every penny.

I adored the charming mid-century decor and the cozy ambiance of the Pearl. The beds had soft linens that made sleeping easy. Enjoyed the saltwater pool area, though it was a bit crowded at times. The breakfast options were diverse and healthy, with good coffee and loose teas available. I liked that the hotel is eco-conscious, but I wasn’t thrilled about the $20 charge for WiFi and parking. My room could have used more space for toiletries, especially in the bathroom. The restaurant wasn’t open for dinner during my stay, which was disappointing, but the nearby eateries were solid alternatives. The overall vibe of the place made it a great getaway, though I felt the noise from poolside events could be disruptive at night. It's worth the visit, just manage your expectations about the extra fees and noise levels.

missingWrote a review on Sept 29mid-century decorbeta fishcramped pool
Charming mid-century decor brings a funky vibe throughout the property, making it visually engaging. The unique touch of a beta fish in a bowl adds character to the room, blending style with relaxed aesthetics.
Unfortunately, there’s a hefty surprise $20 resort fee, which feels a bit sneaky upon arrival. The pool area becomes cramped after 5 PM with restaurant tables spilling into the space, limiting its use. My room had some mildew issues, a noisy street, and a really soft, lumpy bed that made for an uncomfortable night’s sleep. Additionally, the lack of an ice machine on-site is a pain—you'll have to schlep to the restaurant to get ice. Overall, it’s a mixed bag, with some quirks that might not sit well for everyone.

This place suits me perfectly with its free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a lovely bar area. I remember how the staff assisted me during my first stay with some technical issues. I’ll definitely return for a holiday!

I adored the charming mid-century decor and intimate atmosphere. The well-placed seating areas around the pool made it easy for me to relax while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Accessibility was decent, though some stairs might be challenging.
More accessible seating options would be great.

The culinary highlights at Pearl blew my mind, especially the tasty bites at the bar and restaurant. Seriously, those cocktails were on point! Plus, the mid-century decor and relaxing lounge areas made chilling after adventures super cozy.
While I loved the vibe, the surprise $20 resort fee was a real bummer! The pool area felt cramped post-5pm with restaurant tables everywhere, and my room had some annoying flaws like mildew and noise from the street below.

Had a great time with friends! The vibe is fun and unique, and we loved being close to attractions like the San Diego Zoo and the beach for water sports. The happy hour at the restaurant was a highlight for us!
The noise from the bar made it hard to sleep at night, so that was a bit of a damper on an otherwise enjoyable stay.

I adored the charming mid-century decor and the cozy vibes throughout the property. My room had a lovely walk-in shower and a unique beta fish decoration in a bowl. Plus, the restaurant served up delicious food, and I really enjoyed the evening dive-in movie by the pool!
More accessible seating options would be great.

missingWrote a review on Jul 17charming decorcozy atmospherecomfortable bedsnoise levelsdining limitations
I experienced a mix of pleasure and disappointment during my stay at The Pearl. The location is fantastic, putting me within walking distance of great coffee shops and some nice eateries. I found the mid-century decor charming, and the cozy atmosphere added to the unique vibe. My room, a Standard King Room, boasted a comfortable bed and clean linens. The friendly staff genuinely enhanced my experience, always greeting me with a smile. The restaurant offered decent food, though it was closed on Sunday and Monday nights, which left me limited dining options. The small pool area looked fun, but it could certainly benefit from more comfortable loungers instead of just upright chairs. One downside was the noise during the night. the bar near my room made it tough to get a good night's sleep. Not having an iron or coffee maker in the room was a letdown too, especially since I was traveling for work. Overall, I liked the unique character and cleanliness, but the noise and some amenities could use attention.
